Dear USD 418 Families and Community Members,
We are grateful for the generosity and support shown by Twice Told Tales and others in our community who are stepping up to assist McPherson High School seniors with outstanding school fees. Their efforts reflect the caring spirit of McPherson and our shared commitment to helping students finish their high school journey successfully.
As graduation approaches, we want to be clear:
Any senior who meets graduation requirements will be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony, regardless of whether all student fees have been paid.
While unpaid fees may delay the release of a printed diploma or limit guest ticket access, students will not be excluded from walking at graduation if they have fulfilled academic requirements.
This is not about punishment - it's about being good stewards of our resources. Fees help cover things like classroom materials, technology, and lunches. When those aren’t paid, it directly impacts what we can offer future students. We have a responsibility to make sure the resources our community provides are used fairly and sustainably.
At the same time, we understand the financial challenges families may face. That’s why USD 418 waived student fees for the 2024–25 school year to provide relief and reduce costs for families across our district.
Families with outstanding balances are encouraged to contact McPherson High School to set up a manageable payment plan. Our goal is to support students while upholding shared expectations.
We deeply appreciate the community’s continued support of our students during this important time. Anyone who would like to donate is encouraged to reach out to he USD 418 Central Office, or contact Twice Told Tales.
