We are thrilled to announce Ms. Jenny Vernon as our McPherson Secondary Teacher of the Year!
Ms. Vernon, a dedicated middle school ELA teacher, is known for holding her students to high standards while maintaining equally high expectations for herself. She is deeply committed to academic rigor and excellence in curriculum design, challenging students to grow and achieve their full potential. She was selected through a multi-step process—first nominated by her peers and then chosen by our administrative team for her dedication to student learning, innovative teaching practices, and positive impact on the school community.
As our Secondary Teacher of the Year, Ms. Vernon will now represent McPherson Public Schools in the Kansas Teacher of the Year competition. Join us in congratulating her and celebrating the incredible work of our teachers!
